The Diamond Discovery Hub Now Featured on Mir@bel

by Hanna Varachkina

The Diamond Discovery Hub (DDH) is an authoritative list of European Diamond Open Access journals. It’s designed to improve the visibility and discoverability of scholar-led and institutionally published Open Access journals without author fees. As a new registry, its value depends not only on the quality of its data but also on how widely that data is used and trusted by the community.

We’re therefore pleased to share that the DDH is now listed among the “autres liens” (other links) on Mir@bel. (Read about Mir@bel in English here.)

Mir@bel is a well-established French platform that combines a structured network with a user-friendly website to provide comprehensive, up-to-date information on journals. It also facilitates access to online content and indexes journals across all subjects, languages, nationalities, and publishing models, offering detailed data on both Open Access and subscription-based scientific journals. By pointing its users to the DDH, Mir@bel is among the first external services to recognise and highlight this new registry of Diamond Open Access journals.

This kind of integration is more than just a link: it helps establish the relevance and recognition of the DDH as a trustworthy resource of diamond journals in the scholarly publishing landscape. Each new reuse of its data strengthens its role in making Diamond Open Access journals easier to find, assess, and support.
