Community Call: Support the DIAMAS project & Strengthen Open Access Publishing

Shape the future of Open Access publishing and help the DIAMAS project, which collaborates closely with CRAFT-OA, to develop tools and collect resources to support institutional publishers and service providers by answering our community call by the 7th of July!

DIAMAS (Developing Institutional Open Access Publishing Models to Advance Scholarly Communication) is an EU-funded project which aims to support Open Access Diamond and institutional publishing. By establishing common standards, increasing visibility, and promoting the sustainability of a diverse publishing landscape DIAMAS improves the efficiency and quality of institutional publishing.

As part of its scope to support Open Access Diamond and institutional publishing, DIAMAS is launching a campaign to gather resources such as guidelines, best practices, training materials, toolkits, and documentation.

This information will be used to create a registry of reference materials: a full list of resources with all relevant info (link, description, language and other descriptive metadata) that will become available to the whole community for further use.

Furthermore, this registry will address and provide support for the adoption of the criteria of the Extensible Quality Standard for Institutional Publishing (EQSIP) developed by the DIAMAS project.

By identifying resources for the DIAMAS registry of reference materials you will become part of a community that helps to improve the efficiency and quality of institutional publishing.

Help us identify resources such as

  • guidelines
  • best practices
  • training materials
  • toolkits
  • documentation
  • non-textual resources and material types (e.g. presentations, recordings, tools)

Resources should address aspects such as journal funding; ownership and governance; Open Science practices; editorial quality, management and research integrity; technical service efficiency; visibility; and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

DIAMAS supports multilingualism and aims to gather resources in various languages to compile a registry with global relevance. If the resource is available in a language other than English, a translation of the title and a short account of its content may be provided in English.

Answering our community call takes only 10 minutes.
